Events cancelled until further notice.
After careful consideration and as a precaution to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), Fayette County Memorial Library will follow the lead of the public schools and be temporarily closed starting at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 16. All programming is cancelled effective immediately.
The staff and Board of Trustees have made this difficult decision to support the overall health and wellness of Fayette County and for the safety of our patrons and staff. This decision was not made lightly. FCML is dedicated to serving the public by providing quality materials, services, and programs. However, at this time, we feel the best way to serve is to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
This situation remains very fluid. We have no reopen date as of right now. We will continue to monitor the situation and reopen as soon as it is determined safe to do so.
Our book drop will remain available for returns. As FCML is fine free, no fines will accrue during this closure. Please be sure to check our website and Facebook page for future updates regarding open and closed hours.
Thank you to everyone for your support and continued guidance during this time.
