Join us as we open the Library's cornerstone to reveal the contents of the time capsule placed in 1972, and place a new time capsule to be opened in 2072.

About The Event
On April 7, 1972 a time capsule was placed and sealed in a cornerstone (pictured right) at the newly remolded Fayette County Memorial Library. That time capsule was to be opened in 2021 in celebration of the City of Fayette’s 200th Birthday.
Join us as we open the cornerstone to reveal the contents of the time capsule and place a new time capsule to be opened in 2072. Light refreshments will be served.
